Frequently Asked Questions — Funds Transfer If your question is not here, please contact us. » What is a PIN? What is a PIN? A personal identification number (PIN) is the four-digit number we provided you with if you requested it on your Investment Notes or Cash Trust account application form. The PIN allows you to obtain account information, and withdraw funds, over the phone. If you have lost or forgotten your PIN, or would like to apply for one, please contact the Investor Service team on 1800 812 267. What is a nominated account? A nominated account is one that you have linked to one of your Goldman Sachs cash accounts. It can be another Goldman Sachs cash account, or it can be an external account. It can also be an overseas account. You can only nominate an account in writing. How do I check if I have already nominated accounts?
How do I nominate an account? To nominate an account to be available for funds transfer, complete the appropriate form and return it to the address listed on the form. Can I nominate my JBWere Visa Gold credit card as an account? Yes. What accounts can I transfer funds from? You can transfer funds from your Goldman Sachs Cash Trust account. Please note: Until further notice, you will not be able to transfer funds from Goldman Sachs Investment Notes accounts. You cannot transfer funds from a JBWere Visa Gold credit card account. What accounts can I transfer funds to? You can transfer funds to:
Note: You can only transfer funds to accounts previously nominated in writing. Can I transfer funds from my JBWere Visa Gold credit card? No. You can only transfer funds into your credit card account. You can't transfer funds out; that is, you can't give yourself a cash advance. Can I transfer funds from my non-Goldman Sachs account into my Goldman Sachs account? No, not through the Goldman Sachs website. You may, however, be able to use internet banking, phone banking or BPAY to transfer funds from your non-Goldman Sachs account to your Goldman Sachs Cash Trust or Goldman Sachs Investment Notes (at call) account. Refer to your Cash Trust or Investment Notes (at call) statement for your BPAY details. Can I transfer funds into a non-Goldman Sachs account? Yes, you can do this as long as you have nominated this account with us. When will my funds be transferred? Fund transfers received before the daily cut-off of 2.00pm Melbourne time will be processed overnight. Cleared funds are available the next day. However, funds transferred after 2.00pm Melbourne time, or on a non-business day, will be processed the next business day and transferred overnight. What happens if I try to transfer but I don't have enough funds in the account? If you are transferring the funds today, the system will display a message advising that you have insufficient funds. You won't be able to complete the transfer. If you are scheduling the transfer for another date, the system won't check for funds. You will be able to complete the transfer but, if there is a problem, you may be liable for any losses incurred. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information. How will I know my available balances? Your available balances are displayed on the right side of the Funds Transfer pages. This information includes the balances for your Goldman Sachs cash accounts. It does not display balances for your JBWere Visa Gold credit card, or accounts from other institutions. |
